Evening bat
Nycticeius humeralis — Bats
A small brown bat of southern woods and towns, easily mistaken for a young big brown bat.
Do not handle this animal with bare hands, and do not let it near a pet. It is a rabies-vector species, which changes both the procedure and who is permitted to take it.
